The 2021 BMW M5 Competition Facelift gets technology from the M8 Gran Coupe in the form of new shock absorbers. In combination with the reconfigured chassis, they help to expand the possibilities of maneuverability and handling to new limits, as well as provide a high level of driving comfort. The M5 and M5 Competition will be powered by a 4.4-liter BMW S63 V8 engine. In the standard version of the M5, the BMW M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder powerplant has a peak output of 441 kW / 600 hp , while in the M5 Competition model, the engine develops higher power up to 460 kW / 625 hp .
